Nooksack Washington

Located east of Everson, WA this tiny town of 850 residents, Nooksack, WA is located at the base of Sumas Mountain. Taking its name from the Indian tribe Noot Sach which used to inhabit the area, the town gained popularity in the gold rush era of the 1860s and 1870s. Its rich history of logging, fishing, and railroad building is documented by photographer Darius Kinsey at the Whatcom Museum.
